Dragon Finga Is A Ragdoll Kung-Fu Fighting Game For Android

In about the same span of time it takes to Google the meaning of the word ‘sushi’, I found that I too knew Kung Fu when I got my hands on Dragon Finga for Android. This free game is simply mind blowing, offers some amazing gameplay mechanics and comes loaded with hours and hours of fun. The game is built entirely around rag doll physics, featuring organic animation and collisions instead of pre-set fighting moves. It looks and feels great, but the game doesn’t give us much to do with these fun tools. And a single-player challenge is all that Dragon Finga has on offer here...

Developer Another Place Productions LTD surely went to great lengths to ensure that the environment in Dragon Finga take full advantage of todays powerful mobile hardware. As it becomes immediately apparent when you go through the game’s initial tutorial that every little detail has been given its proverbial attention.

Upon first launch, you’re taught the basic gameplay by your grandmaster Ping, who teaches you the basic movements such as moving your player around, hitting your enemies and collecting rewards. To move the player around, for instance, you can simply swipe left or right on your screen. The farther you swipe across the screen, the farther your player will move. Likewise, you can hit the ragdoll enemies by tapping on them. It takes only a few minutes of adequate tutorial lessons before you’re exposed to the game’s main menu.

The main menu screen which comes after you have finished the initial tutorial, lets you relaunch the training mode, toggle music and audio settings, as well as a rather interesting video recording mode (to record your gameplay and upload online), or start the single player mode by tapping on its pertaining button.

Dragon Finga comprises 250 different action packed missions, each set in a totally different setting and environment. The game becomes more tougher with each passing mission, which becomes more noticeable in later levels of course. But thankfully, the game enables you to replay previously unlocked missions any time you want, not only to learn new moves, but also to complete a mission using an entirely different strategy.
On the customization front, you can buy a variety of upgrades in Dragon Finga such as enhanced health meter, better fighting skills and learn new moves to beat much tougher enemies that show up at later stages. The game comprises built in game points that let you buy these upgrades and/or customize your character. And these game points can either be earned by completing levels or by purchasing them via real currency.

Coming to the main gameplay, there’s much more combat in Dragon Finga than you’d expect. Each mission throws you against a horde of evil enemies and your goal is to finish them off as fast as can. But that’s not as easy as it sounds; you will also need to keep an eye on your health bar which depletes when you’re hit by an enemy. There aren’t many moves and combos that your character can perform during initial missions, but that changes as you complete more levels.

After spending a bit of time with Dragon Finga, I was surely in love with its endless fun, variety of customization and eye candy graphics. The challenges are fun and ragdoll physics looks impressive.
